Training protecting the rights of victims of crime

ASSOCIATION PO REFUGIU  in partnership with the UNIVERSITY OF BUCHAREST (Faculty of Law) organized a training on the protection of the rights of victims of crime between 10 – 11  June 2025 in Bucharest, Romania. The training was implemented within the project Addressing the gap in multidisciplinary cooperation to enhance the protection of victims’ rights (CEPOV), Justice Programme of the European Commission. The event was attended by 46 lawyers, social workers and psychologists (General Directorates of Social Assistance and Child Protection), counselors within the Ombudsman institution, and police officers. The multidisciplinary event was held in an interactive manner, with the trainers’ presentations alternating with case analysis according to national and European legislation, trauma and the necessary support to be provided to the victim within criminal proceedings, communication with the victim, deontological norms when providing assistance, strengthening multi-/interdisciplinary cooperation for the protection and promotion of the rights of victims of crime.
